BioCompanion

Bio Companion is an augmented reality concept built with Space10, IKEA’s innovation lab, exploring how we might interact with environmental data in the future through a more artful, character driven experience. Using hand tracking, voice commands, external air-quality APIs, and a real time 3D character, users hold out their hand and a small digital bird lands in their palm to share the day’s air quality readings. Built for Snap’s AR ecosystem, the prototype imagines a softer, more human way to check PM values, transforming abstract data into a personal, intuitive interaction that feels alive and responsive rather than clinical or technical.
